I've always liked novelty prints... whether it be old fashioned victorian florals or cartoon cats on a dress that looks like it was made for a three year old. I got a package a few mornings ago from the fabulous Pinup Girl Clothing, containing my most recent order! Their new collection released a few weeks ago and I was instantly drawn toward the skirt with oranges on it. Yes, oranges!
Isn't that adorable? 1950s eat your heart out. Nevertheless I fell in love the print and colours. I also bought a matching top, head piece and another pair of cat eye glasses (pair number 4 now). The outfit is so perfect!
Look at how sweet those oranges look! So colourful! The skirt just screams spring, which sadly, doesn't correlate with Australian weather at the moment... it was 10 degrees when I took this photo. Totally worth it. I paired the outfit with the classic wicker bag also from Pinup Girl Clothing, and a pair of Marilyn Monroe shoes from Nine West.
The skirt is immaculate quality-wise, PUG always makes fabulous quality clothing, so I wasn't surprised! The Doris Top is also beautiful to wear, low cut neckline, which makes wearing it on colder days a bit hard, but you deal with it. I bought the top in size Small, because I tend to have a small upper body, but the skirt is a Medium- sadly I don't have the 1950's tiny 20 inch waist. I felt like a little house wife from the nifty fifties! I want to wear it allllll the time. So fruity, am I right?
